After hours of searching my desktop and trying every trick, Adobe tech support discovered somehow Windows7 was pointed to that configuration dialog box (at the top right of the screen, with all the languages you don't want) and further, Adobe Pro X11 was pointing to the exact same place. Their tech support fixed that and I happily used both.
