Bluetooth Smart Ready on Mac means Bluetooth 4.0 hardware with Yosemite or later.
Hi guys,I just bought an USB receiver for my Logitech G602 (I lost the other one). The receiver is detected by my computer but I can't connect my mouse, I tried with the connexion software (ConnectUtility) but my receiver isn't detected on this software while it is on my computer. Aug 17, 2015 Unfortunately it does not work. I have an old mouse m305 (non-unifying), I ended up buying the nano receiver (unifying). I downloaded the 2 applications mentioned, the non-unifying application does not recognize the receiver, the unifying application recognizes the receiver but says the mouse is not compatible with the receiver. Sep 17, 2019 Logitech Unifying devices not able to pair. My impression is that the receiver is not functioning, or is not Unifying based on this. I am going to go through and scrub the Unifying software from the machine and do a reinstall after a couple of reboots to see if that does anything.
Unfortunately BT on your Macbook Pro (mid 2010) is BT2.1+EDR

I guess your only option is use of USB hub if you don't have available USB port,
